Stars Over Puna February 2026

Major Shifts Ahead in Eclipse Season

The world is getting the first influences of what it feels like to live in Aquarian energies. Leaving the old paradigm of Capricornian pragmatism will fill us with the sense that we need new rules. January had some very shocking events that we never expected in our country. The power is shifting, and we need to be alert.

February 1 is the Full Moon in Leo, with five planets in Aquarius. Pluto initiated the lineup of personal planets near the Sun as they each passed into Aquarius, gaining extreme expressions of their qualities. When there are multiple planets all in the same sign, their individual energies become a blend as a team all working with the same agenda or theme. Consider this like a meeting behind closed doors where decisions are made without public awareness. Discussions and decisions are going on unbeknownst to general media offerings.

In fact, we should also think about the powerful geological and atmospheric events that have been happening around the planet since the previous New Moon on January 18th. That occurred at the end degrees of Capricorn, ruled by Saturn, which is completing its transit in Pisces, and involved with Neptune on the fixed star, Sheat of Shipwrecks. The intensified planetary geometry showed up in increased geomagnetic storms, like Cyclone Harry crashing into Sicily, Italy, and increased earthquakes and volcanoes activating around our planet.

As individuals, it is a period when we must keep our own counsel, planning and preparing for new personal themes of independence and individuality. The Leo Full Moon puts self as the main topic, sorting out what we want to bring about based on our personal desires and goals.

Uranus, planet of unexpected changes, radical turn of events, and new developments of all kinds, will complete its retrograde phase on Tuesday, February 3. It’s apparent motion will shift to direct motion and can bring a change of direction in life events, personal and societal. While Uranus has been lingering in late Taurus, it is interacting with the most violent fixed star, Algol, which is associated with beheading and executions. This makes us all aware of the harsher aspects of life, tragedy, and horrible human experiences. Uranus awakens the inner urge to create change and strengthens us against the subtle forces between matter and spirit, so that we grow and challenge the old paradigm of social controls. The consciousness war is on.

By Thursday, Mercury makes a challenging square to Uranus, when lingering questions are likely to bring out surprising information about long-awaited topics. This can be something that stirs rebellion and ignites themes of angry response to changes the government wants to make. Uranus is the last planet in an Earth sign. It will complete its travel through the sign of Taurus, emphasizing a focus on economics, finances, and security. On April 26, Uranus will shift to Gemini, an Air sign, where duality is the theme.

Mercury is the planet of information, speech, ideas, and propaganda. It rules Gemini and can express both sides of an issue. Mercury is called the trickster. While it travels in Aquarius, it brings out more high technology; AI is a powerful example of this. The square to Uranus also has the potential for change in relationships, sudden disengagement, or a change of feelings. Uranus is considered the great awakener. When we get a distinct perspective, we change our alliances.

The Sun sextile Jupiter also occurs on February 5th, which is like an invitation to have lunch with your employer who recognizes your excellent work. The combination of two strong aspects may represent important decisions, leading to a change of circumstances and potential expansion and opportunity through agreements.

Mercury enters Pisces on Friday the 6th. This sudden shift into watery Pisces might mean a long lunch might be the end of the workday. Mercury suddenly disconnecting from electrical Uranus could be a noticeable shift to relaxation mode. It’s been a week of a lot of mental energy. You can take a break.

Venus will square Uranus on Saturday the 7th, and this date night could be full of chemistry. Of a more serious topic, Venus is the planet of money and Uranus represents technology. With all the instability of the markets, there may be more action in the precious metals. I have noticed mainstream news doesn’t talk about the sharp changes happening with Silver and Gold. Uranus always brings the unexpected, and Venus is just finishing Aquarius, which is digital money, so watch for changes there, too.

Venus enters Pisces, its sign of exaltation, on Tuesday, February 10. The Moon will be in Sagittarius. The two influences are abundantly social and looking for friends. This week has only minor aspects leading up to Friday, so there may not be a very productive push. Energy is great for self-care and turning attention inward.

Saturn, planet of authority, management, and many of the things that we take as factual reality, enters Aries on Friday the 13th, for its final ingress. This event is major as it comes sloshing out of Pisces onto dry land. We had an introduction to the lord of time and structures operating in Aries, the sign of the individual, through the Spring and Summer months of 2025. Saturn will make strides quickly this year, going to the 15th degree by its retrograde station on July 26.

Mercury in Pisces will trine Jupiter in Cancer on February 16. The communication planets are in harmonious engagement. Venus is also in Pisces with the North Node, giving the middle of February a lovely time for meeting with friends and neighbors to align and connect as allies. It’s a time of forming cooperative associations and developing relationships that might form a network for sharing information and support in challenging times.

There will be an Annular Solar Eclipse on the 17th. This is the type of eclipse where the Moon’s shadow across the Sun is smaller and leaves a ring of light around the Moon. This event will only be visible in Antarctica. The Eclipse occurs at 2:00 am HST. Eclipses are potent times of change. They are turning points that mark our lives at regular intervals.

Saturn and Neptune conjunct at 0 Aries on February 20th. The strength of this alignment is in the mutual reception of the Sun in Aquarius, ruled by Saturn in the Sun’s Exalted sign. They gain power and influence supporting each other, like time-sharing each other’s homes. Yet, both planets are in signs of their detriment, meaning that they act in ways that benefit others before themselves. This might pull back some of the power over-reach that has resulted in misguided brutality against the people. This idea is not limited to any one country or particular leader.

Venus will trine Jupiter on the 22nd, helping to soften aggressiveness and keep the tone friendly and cooperative. With the Moon in Taurus this weekend, having a little dinner party or gathering will promote goodwill and build alliances.

Mercury will station retrograde on the 25th. The next 22 days are a review period. This is a personal time for examining goals and clearing up mistakes and misunderstandings. Some people will feel this in relationships. Mercury will reconnect with Venus on the 25th, bringing up things from their last meeting on January 29. Both times the Moon is in Cancer, adding a lot of sentiment to whatever the crossings bring. This second time offers greater awareness and an opportunity to gain more clarity and understanding as the Moon will bring Jupiter in to give benefic advice and truth to the discussions.

To close February, Mars in Aquarius will square Uranus in Taurus on the 27th. This is a volatile mixture of energy. These planets had a trine aspect on January 20, when Uranus was still retrograde and Mars was in Capricorn. This was during the Davos meetings when the President threatened tariffs on several European allies. There could be some new agreements to overcome potential threats with the Moon and Jupiter in trine to Venus and Mercury, where better negotiations can make a substantial difference.

We are facing unique times when we must be responsible for our own responses to a very charged outer world. The planets will continue in a close clustering through the next couple of months. This always concentrates the energy, and events can often seem overwhelming. Hold fast to your positive worldview and make your interactions be the transforming element when others need your help to rise above the things we cannot effect. Together, we find new solutions.
