About EHYM:
A 6-month mentorship journey for Native Hawaiian youth in Puna, designed to overcome economic barriers through entrepreneurial and professional skill-building.
Applicants are from 15 to 19 years of age. Anyone under 18 will need parents approval to participate.
Led by experts Sylvia Dolena & Steven Kai Manner, targeting 20 promising youths
Timeline:
90 day Start-up: October through December, 2025
- Call for applications, interviews, selection
- Onboarding and orientation
Education and Activities: January through June, 2026:
- Month 1: Program kickoff, skill assessments, and initial training.
- Months 2-6: Progressive skill development, mentorship, and monthly experiential learning.
- End of Month 6: Finalize personal career plans and celebrate achievements at our graduation ceremony!
- Celebration: Completion certificates awarded at a memorable graduation event.
