Magin Patrick, Founder of Project Hawai’i, Inc.

Project Hawai’i, Inc. provides services to over 1,600 individual homeless children annually across the islands of O’ahu, Maui and the Big Island of Hawai’i. The nonprofit strives to change the lives of children by providing a sense of stability through interactive programs, including educational summer camps, holiday events, school support, and educational training. The nonprofit provides monthly outreach support to assure that children are supplied with healthy meals, personal hygiene care, and emergency services.

In Hawaii, there are over 23,000 children living in substandard and homeless situations. Since the foundation’s inception in 2003, we are proud to announce that Project Hawaii’s award winning programs have successfully helped over 2,000 homeless children escape and break their cycle of poverty as they continue to grow into adulthood and  build their own families with a strong foundation.

Project Hawai’i, Inc. is a nonprofit organization run 100% by volunteers. Our agency is solely supported by public donations. We provide year round services to help the homeless children on the islands of O’ahu and Big Island. Our mission is to enhance their lives while helping them to escape their cycle of poverty.

While I may be new to Facebook, I am not new to helping these precious children. I am truly honored to dedicate my life to helping these precious children escape their cycle of poverty. Most of my new Facebook friends won’t know me or my history. Project Hawai’i, Inc. has helped to create laws that allow the homeless to be fed by the community, stay on lands of which they are safe, and have the opportunity to have transportation to school regardless where they live. Over the past 15 years on this island, I have seen many changes, some for the best and some not so great. But I know that with great people like you, we will continue to provide the services needed for these children to succeed.
