The responsibilities of the Executive Director of Puna Ola

The Executive Director of Puna Ola will be responsible for leading a team to complete the following:

  • Formation of non-profit, 501c3 as the organizational entity within 6 months of project start
  • Board of Directors identified within 6 months
  • Overall budget defined with grants and investors committed
  • Lessees qualified for participation within 6 months
  • Appropriate funding to purchase or lease within 6 months of project start
  • Secure lease or purchase agreement within 8 months of project start
  • Design of community resource hub approved by BOD within 12 months of project start
  • Remodel of the facilities for within 18 months of project start
  • Open house and open for business launch within 2 years of project start

The Executive Director should possess:

  • Experience in leading a project through implementation
  • Experience in negotiating and administering contracts
  • Ability to manage a variety of stakeholders and gain alignment 
  • Strong leadership presence and ability to rally the stakeholders around project needs and deadlines 
  • Ability to manage many moving parts
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Community service mindset

Salary: Negotiable
